Global Warming

Global Warming is the rapid and unnatural increase in the average temperature of earth’s atmosphere and oceans. Due to deforestation and industrialization air is largely polluted. This leads to an alarming rise in earth’s surface temperature. The environmentalists fear that this would finally melt the polar ice caps. As a result, the sea water level will rise drowning many parts of the continents. In many places crops would grow no more. Flood and drought will visit the earth by turn. Animals will become extinct more and more. Islands like Maldives and some southern parts of Bangladesh would be inundated very soon if the present scenario continues. Naturally this would claim millions of lives. But we can avert these dangerous consequences if we can check the present rate of emission of poisonous greenhouse gasses. Large scale tree plantation is the only other remedy for global warming.
