2. What was the importance of the wrestling match on the life of Rosalind and Orlando?

Answer: Despite much prohibition from the royal court of Frederick, Orlando was ready to goad on the wrestling match with the court-wrestler, Charles, but unexpectedly after the end of the match Orlando was revealed to be the winner of the match. 

As a result, Duke Frederick praised Orlando openly and wanted to know the father’s identity of Orlando. But, on hearing that Orlando was the son of Sir Rowland who had become the close friend of the banished duke, he ordered to leave him the wrestling place of the court without giving him any prizes. 

On the other hand when Rosalind was aware of Orlando’s identity, she had fallen into the ocean of love. Rosalind, too, gave him her necklace as a token of love. Also, Orlando’s success enraged Duke Frederick. He drove Rosalind out of sheer jealousy soon the contest. Rosalind had to leave the court and go to the Forest of Arden. Again, Orlando’s popularity made his tyrant brother Oliver envious of him. He planned to kill Orlando. Orlando learnt it and left his house and set out for the Forest of Arden. Thus, the wrestling match did a lot to change the course of the lives of Rosalind and Orlando.

3. How did Orlando save the life of his brother, Oliver and what was its effect on the life of Oliver?  

Answer: Orlando was compelled to leave his house and came to the Forest of Arden. Behind his decision was the contribution of his elder brother, Oliver. He conspired to burn Orlando to death. 

Anyway, Orlando managed to free himself from the cruel clutch of his tyrant brother. One time Oliver entered the Forest of Arden to destroy his brother Orlando. Tired of long walk, Oliver fell asleep in the forest. Orland was then going to meet Ganymede, the supposed beloved to him. From a distance he saw a snake coiling round the neck of the sleeping man. He rushed to the spot. The poisonous snake soon glided away to the nearby bush. Orlando was surprised to see that the man in sleep was none other than his brother Oliver. But he got no time to think more. For, he faced another danger. He saw a lioness was waiting in the bush to pounce upon his brother as soon as he rose. Now Orlando attacked the lioness. The fight went on for some time. Ultimately Orlando succeeded in killing the lioness. Thus Orlando saved the life of his brother.

            Oliver rose from his sleep. He saw the fight. He saw that his brother was seriously injured in the fight against the wild lioness. He saw him bleeding profusely. At once he realized how kind and merciful his brother Orlando was. He felt ashamed of the injustice he had done to him. He felt the pangs of penance. He suffered the qualms of conscience. He underwent a change. He sincerely begged apology. He confessed his crime. Orlando’s nobility and selfless love completely transformed him. Two brothers got united in love.
