The story, Karma was written by an Indian writer Khushwant Singh. It was first published in 1989 in Singh's The Collected Stories. Karma is about an Indian "gentleman" who embraced a high level of English culture and way of life and his relationship with his wife was not very sweet.

The ‘Karma’ story paints a picture of the famous proverb “Pride comes before”. It is the story of an arrogant man who feels bad about the culture, way of life, etc. of his country. He hates his wife because his wife is an ordinary girl who is unaccustomed to living a noble life.

Mohan Lal is a middle-aged man who worked in the British Kingdom. He was ashamed to be an Indian and so he tried to speak in English or Anglican Hindustan and wore the dress of a high-ranking British official. He filled in the crossword puzzle, to demonstrate his profound knowledge in English. His wife Lachmi is a traditional Indian woman and their married life is not sweet because of this difference.

The important event was happened on Mohan Lal and Lachmi when they were going to travel on a train. While arranging his seat in the first class carriage, which was meant for the British, he put Lachmi in the ordinary carriage. There he met two British soldiers who tried to insult him. When the arrogant Mohan Lal opposed them, he was thrown off the train.

However, This section asks questions of MOCK TEST separately from Khuswant Singh' s Karma. The MOCK TEST consists of a total of 15 questions and each question has a time of 20 seconds. Results will be shown after completion of TEST. So everyone is sincerely requested to complete the MOCK TEST with utmost patience and verify their knowledge.
