Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the Ayushman Bharat Digital Health Mission across the country. In a speech from Red Fort on August 15, 2020, the Chief announced the National Digital Health Mission.

Work has already started on pilot projects in six Union Territories. Based on the success of that work, this time the work of this project was started all over the country.

Health information online

Besides Aadhaar, there are Jandhan accounts based on it. It was linked with a mobile number. Through that, many changes have already taken place in the digital system across the country. This time, relying on that technology, the plan is to bring together the health information of all the people of the country in one place. This way, no matter where a person is treated, their treatment information will be kept in one place.

Privacy will be protected

The government has said that confidentiality will be maintained in this regard and also, everyone will be given personal information in this system. In that case, the government has assured that the matter will be looked into so that the personal information does not fall into the hands of anyone other than the specific person and the doctor.

Different health IDs for everyone

In this system, like Aadhaar card, every Indian will have a separate health ID. That is the health account of that particular person. There will be information about the health of a particular person. It can be seen with the help of a mobile application. There will be Healthcare Professional Registry and Healthcare Facility Registry. Wherever the person goes for treatment across the country, he does not have to carry any records with him. You can get the location of everything by opening a specific ID in the doctor or health center. Everything will be known whether a disease has been treated before or what a doctor has treated.

Unique health card will be given

In this system, every Indian will have a card with health ID like Aadhaar card. With this card, it will be known whether the Indian Ayushman gets the opportunity to get treatment under India. If any help is required at the government level, it will be done on the basis of this card. Like the Aadhaar card, the whole matter will be under the Health Authority constituted by the government. The service has been launched as a pilot project in six Union Territories of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Chandigarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli - Daman and Diu, Ladakh, Lakshadweep and Pondicherry. A person can create a health ID by going to official website (as addressed to the above picture) and registering his own record, according to various news outlets.
