Millions of farmers in India are engaged in Paddy cultivation. Paddy seeds are the main food grains for most of the people of South Asian countries.

So it is very important to those people who are dependent on these food grains for their living. Therefore, they must be known how to grow paddy for their sustenance.

For paddy cultivation, they need a plot of land. At first this plot of land is ploughed thoroughly. While the land being ploughed all the weeds are removed. Then the land is harrowed to level the soil.

When the seed-bed is ready, the paddy seeds are sown and manure is applied. Also, when the seedlings grow up, they are uprooted from the seed-bed. Now the seedlings are transplanted in rows to maintain uniformity.

Next, fertilizers are used to help the plants to grow up fast. Then after three or four months the stakes of corn are caught and bound into sheaves. The sheaves are then taken home and the grains are separated from the stakes by thrashing.

Finally, the grains are stored to be used as food or sold in the market.
