    1. Read the passage and answer the following questions

The poem, My Own True Family by Ted Hughes, is a description of the magical experience of a young child in an Oakwood.

He was looking for a stag. By chance, he met an old woman in rags; she was unsteady and was holding a stick. It seemed that she cast a spell and said that she had stored the secret of the boy in her little bag.

Then she started laughing loudly in an unpleasant way. The boy began to tremble in fear. See opened up her little bag and awakened him twice. He found himself surrounded by a group of oak trees staring at him and he found himself tied to a post.

The group said that they belonged to the boy’s own family. People cut down the trees, tear the leaves, and small plants but other people never reacted. The boy on behalf of all human beings must swear that they would not do so any longer. Otherwise, he was to die.

The boy would have to swear whenever they felled an oak tree, he would plant two. Otherwise, black oak would wrinkle over him. He would be grounded among other oaks, his skins but he would be unable to grow.

Having narrated the dream, the boy said that his outlook had totally been changed. He came back in the company of mankind, walked like a man but at heart he became a tree.
