Bande Bharat Express started its journey from Howrah to New Jalpaiguri

Howrah, 31 Dec, 2022: The journey of Bande Bharat Express started its journey from Howrah on 30 December, 2022. Last Friday the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi started the journey of Vande Bharat Express by waving the green flag at around 11.40 am. Though scheduled to come to Kolkata to inaugurate East India's first semi-high speed train, the Prime Minister inaugurated the Vande Bharat Express virtually from Ahmedabad due to the death of his mother, Heeraben.

A special stage was set up for the inauguration of the country's seventh Bande Bharat Express at Platform No. 23 of Howrah station. Vande Bharat Express departs from platform number 22 of Howrah station on this day's occasion. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Kumar Vaishnab was present on the stage of the event. The governor was C. V. Anand Bose State Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was present.

Bande Bharat Express train will be allowed to the general public from January 1, 2023. The authority has made a trial run of the train on Friday for the first time.

However, the booking of Vande Bharat Express has started after its grand inauguration. Many people of India became curious to know about train fares.

So how much is the fare on this train? There are two types of tickets in the train. The first is Executive Class (EC) and the other is Chair Car (CC). Executive Class fare is about Rs. 3250 and Chair Car fare is about 1869 rupees per head.

However, Vande Bharat Express has shown amazing prowess in the trial run itself. This train reached New Jalpaiguri (NJP) from Howrah (HWH) in less than 8 hours. And with the launch of this train, a major milestone was established on the railway map of East India.
