Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav
Every day, new heights are reached. Azadi
Ka Amrit Mahotsav, which begins on the 75th anniversary of
independence, is another step taken by the Govt. of India.
👉 What is the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence?
On August 15, 2022, the country had celebrated
the 75th anniversary of Azadi. To mark the 75th anniversary of this
independence, Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav was started 75 weeks ago. Thousands of
people joined this procession which ran for 390 kilometers.
👉 The purpose of celebrating Amrit Mahotsav
Independence festival is important for any
particular caste, religion or state rather than entire India. Amrit mahotsav is
a national festival. Azadi mahotsav is celebrated for 75 weeks and different
programs are organized every week and their means of patriotism is awakened in
the minds of people.
The program started from 15th August 2021
which includes music, dance, discourses and recitals of the country. The
festival also organized cultural programs showcasing the culture of the
country.
Charkhas, a domestic spinning wheel,
used mostly for spinning cotton, have been promoted in Azadi Amrit Festival.
For this, a Charkha has been organized in Barmati Ashram when a person will buy
goods from local traders and companies and his image will be tagged on social
media by tagging Local for Vocals on social media immediately after.
👉 India's Achievements in 75 Years of Independence
1948 – The Indian men's hockey team won the
gold medal at the London Olympics.
1949 – Reserve Bank of India nationalized.
1950 – India became a full republic and the
constitution came into force throughout the country. Indian Railways was
nationalized.
1951 – Country's first Lok Sabha election,
hosting of first Asian Games, establishment of first IIT.
1952 – The First Parliament of independent
India was convened.
1953 – Nationalization of Air India.
1954 – Bharat Ratna and Padma Vibhushan
started.
1955 – India's first computer launched.
1956 – Men's hockey team wins gold medal at
Melbourne Olympics.
1957 – Acceptance of decision of annexation
of Kashmir to India.
1958 – Atomic Energy Act passed.
1959 – The history of India's mental vision
with the establishment of Panchayat Raj in the country, television.
1960 – The country's first airline Air India
flies its first international flight going 707–420 to New York, Milkha Singh
becomes the first Indian to break the record at the Olympics, Gujarat and
Maharashtra are established.
1961 – Goa annexed India, taking the lead in
the first meeting of non-aligned countries in India.
1962 – Indian football team won the gold
medal in the Asian Games and the Indian football team reached the top.
1963 – Bhakranangal project completed,
India's first rocket launched from Bathamba near Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
1964 – India's first light jet trainer HJT-16
takes flight.
1965 – The Green Revolution begins.
1966 – Indira Gandhi became the country's
first woman Prime Minister, Rita Faria became the first Indian to win Miss
World.
1967 – Zakir Hussain became the country's
first Muslim President, famous sitar player Pandita Tarvishankar received the
Grammy Award.
1968 – Enemy Assets Act, government controls
on gold buying and selling, Dr Fullal Sen became the world's 3rd doctor to
perform heart transplant surgery.
1969 – Indian Space Research Organization
(ISRO) was established.
1970 – Start of White Revolution in India,
21st Air Force joins first Indian-made aircraft.
1971 – India helped Bangladesh in military
intervention for its independence from Pakistan which gave birth to Bangladesh.
1972 – Pincode started.
1973 – The Chipko movement started which became
a forest conservation movement, Project Tiger was launched.
1974 – First nuclear test conducted at
Pokhran.
1975 – Arya Bhatt, the first Indian satellite
launched, became the world champion in hockey.
1976 – Bonded labor system ended in India
1977 – First non-Congress government formed
in the country.
1978 – India's first test tube baby Durga was
born.
1779 – Establishment of Mandal Aayog, Supreme
Court declares public interest petition valid.
1980 – Initiation of smallpox eradication
program.
1981 – In this year IT Company Infosys was
established and another International Aluminum Company Limited (NALCO) was also
established.
1982 – India hosted the Asian Games in New
Delhi.
1983 – India won the Cricket World Cup for
the first time.
1984 – Kesh Sharma became India's first and
138th astronaut in the world.
1985 – India's most prestigious Open
University (IGNOU) was established and Anti-Terrorism in Parliament Act (TADA)
was passed.
1986 – Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi passed the
Consumer Protection Bill in Parliament, formed part of the new National
Education Policy, historic victory of PT Usa in the Asian Games.
1987 – Sunil Gavaskar became the first
cricketer to score 10000 runs in a Test match, Goa became the 25th state of
India.
1988 – Voting age lowered from 21 to 18.
1989 – Kerala Kottayam declared India's first
fully literate district.
1990 – 11,000 Indians were airlifted from
Kuwait by the Government of India on the recommendations of the Civil Aviation
Commission.
1991 – Liberalization of the economy,
supercomputer Param 8000 built.
1992 – SatyajirekoOscarAwardssenvajagaya.
1993 – Apanchayati Raj Act applicable in
India.
1994 – Sushmita Sen won Miss Universe and
Aishwarya Rai won Miss World.
1995 – First time Internet access, country's
first Dalit woman Chief Minister Mayawati Banithi, Middemil Kishuruaathuithi.
1996 – Leander Pace won the bronze medal at
the Atlanta Olympics.
1997 – Arundhatirayan won the Booker Prize
for 'The God of Small Things'.
1998 – For two more nuclear tests in India,
Amartya Sen received the Nobel Prize.
1999 – Kargil War won in India.
2000 – Viswanathan Anand becomes World Chess
Champion.
2001 – First indigenous fighter jet takes
flight, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan begins.
2002 – Launch of Project Golden
Quadrilateral, Mary Kom wins first gold medal in boxing.
2003 – Sania Mirza became the first Indian to
win the Wimbledon doubles trophy.
2004 – First Test match win.
2005 – Right to Information Act.
2006 – Changed to become International Chess
GrandmasterMasters in Asia.
2007 – Pratibha Patil became the country's
first woman president.
2008 – Indian marksman Abhinav Bindra wins
gold medal in shooting, Mission Chandrayaan-1 is successfully launched.
2009 – Right to Education Act came into
force, indigenous nuclear submarine INS Arihant was launched.
2010 – Hosted Commonwealth Games.
2011 – 27-year-old Team India won the Cricket
World Cup.
2012 – India won 6 medals in London Olympics.
2013 – The National Food Security Act was
passed, Mangalyayan sang on the planet Mars.
2014 – WHO declared the country polio-free.
2015 – Indira Gandhi Airport won the Best
Airport Award.
2016 – Pakistan went on surgical strike.
2017 – GST foggy in India.
2018 – Railways converted diesel engines to
electric in 69 days.
2019 – Air strike in Balakot, second moon
mission Chandrayaan-2 launched, oldest woman MP elected to Lok Sabha, Article
370 revoked from Jammu and Kashmir.
2020 – Country's first Kisan Rail starts,
first Glass Bridge is built in Charsafari at Rajgir in Bihar.
2021 – India's best thrower Neeraj Chopra won
the gold medal in Tokyo Olympics, Harnaj Kaur Sandhu won the title of Miss
Universe, built the lightest helicopter in the world, the homegrown corona
vaccine-vaccine.
2022 – India assumed the Presidency of the
G-20 for the next year on December 1, 2022 India will host over 200 meetings in
over 50 cities across 32 different work streams.

On the 75th anniversary of Independence, this
Amrut Festival includes India's 75 Years of Achievements, 75 Years of
Reflection, 75 Years of Action and 75 Years of Resolution, which will inspire
us to move forward and realize the dreams of an independent India.
