Tornado Hits Perryton, Texas, Killing 3 and Injuring 100

Perryton, Texas: A tornado ripped through the town of Perryton, Texas, on Thursday afternoon, killing three people and injuring at least 100. The tornado, which was rated EF-3 on the Enhanced Fujita scale, with winds of up to 140 mph, caused widespread damage to homes and businesses in the town.

The tornado touched down in Perryton around 4:30 p.m. local time. It tracked northeast through the town, causing significant damage to the downtown area and the north and east sides of town. The tornado also destroyed about 200 homes and businesses.
